CARL AND LINDA HAVE COPS SURROUNDED ON NATIONAL NIGHT OUT

The Police DID show up at Rose Hill's National Night Out Gathering Tuesday. Trouble was, everyone except the hosts had gone home! The police had 32 gatherings in the Franconia District to visit and were still making the rounds after dark. We told them about our resident's show of support by showing up in large numbers. They were pleased and apologized for not getting by earlier. Thanks to all of you who supported our show of support for our police and emergency responders.  (Click here for more photos.)

The Franconia Museum has published Volume V of its Franconia Remembers series and its all about former Rose Hill resident and Fairfax County Supervisor Joe Alexander. Joe was our supervisor for 32 years and is responsible for many of the public facilities we take for granted today. Written by Carl Sell, it traces Joe's life in Franconia as seen through his eyes , the author and those of his friends. The book costs only $21 and would make a perfect Christmas gift. After the holidays, the price will rise to $26. Other books in the series also are on sale. The Franconia Museum is open Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Or, call the author at 703-971-4716 and he will make sure you get one. All proceeds go to the museum. There is a $5 shipping and handling charge for books being mailed to friends. Or, you can do it yourself!

For more information go to Franconiamuseum.org and click on "Items for Sale" for special Holiday discounts.
