Saturday, February 11th at the Platte Canyon Community Center in Shawnee from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Dinner, which includes coffee, is $5.00 (pasta/Italian). Soda is $ .50 - water $ .25. Author "Mike Moore" is the speaker. He is a natural philosopher and wilderness explorer who is a member, staff writer and lecturer of the Western Writers of America and a member of the American Mountain Men. He has over 90 articles published in magazines such as: "Backwoodsman", "Muzzle Blasts", "Poke and Stoke" and "On The Trail". He is the author of: "Heroes to Me", "The Rocky Mountain Album", and "Life In the Early West". Books about the history of the fur trade. He will talk about "Food in the Early West."
