Volume V of the Franconia Museum’s series of books chronicling the area’s history is dedicated solely to the life Joe Alexander, who still lives among his friends despite pressure to run for higher office and move on to State or National politics.

Written by long-time cohort Carl Sell, the book focuses on Joe’s beginnings in Franconia, his family life with Davie and his two daughters and service as a County Supervisor.

Franconia Remembers Vol VI - $31.25 Hardback

Volume VI of the Franconia Museum’s series of books chronicling the area’s history is dedicated the life of Joe Davies, a local well-known young man, football star and Air Force pilot who was lost in 1968, and never recovered. The book is entitled “Franconia Remembers Joe Davies, An American Hometown Hero.”

Also included are recollections about seven others who grew up in Franconia and were lost during the war years. They are Paul M. Bayliss, Robert W. Cupp, Charles H. Elliott, Jr., Kermit W. (Bill) Holland, Jr., Herman L. Judy, Jr., Michael E. Ludwig, and Michael L. Walker.
