Fairy Lamp Club Meeting
and AuctionMay 4 - 6, 2007
Auction Consignment Terms and Conditions
The Fairy Lamp Club will conduct a live auction during the Club's meeting on May 4-6, 2007 in Toledo, Ohio.
The live auction will include antique and contemporary fairy lamps, shades, parts and other items related to fairy lamp collecting. The lots will be available for review prior to the auction.
This will be a cataloged auction. Un-cataloged lots will be allowed, however they will be sold last after all cataloged items.
Absentee Bids
The auction will be broadly advertised and we will accept absentee bids from Fairy Lamp Club members only. All lots will be opened from the floor and competitively bid, including absentee bids. Absentee bids in excess of any reserve on the lot will cause the bidding to begin at the reserve amount. Absentee bids must be in writing and must be received well in advance of the auction date, but not later than April 27, 2007.
Auction Fees and Responsibilities
The consignor fee is $5.00 per lot. The fee is payable regardless if the lot is sold or not. A buyer's premium of $5.00 will be added to each winning bid. These fees are to support the Fairy Lamp Club.
Consignors are urged to be very thorough in describing their lots for auction, specifically identifying any flaws or damage that may exist. We can not accept absentee bids on damaged items that were not properly identified in the catalog. When possible, the description should include a published reference such as Fairy Lamps – Elegance in Candle Lighting by Ruf.
If the consignor is not attending the auction, the consignor is responsible for delivering or shipping their lots and agrees to pay for return shipping and insurance on any unsold lots. The liability for the loss or damage of any lot, for any cause, at the auction or in shipment remains with the consignor. Auction consignments are to be insured and shipped to:
Jim Sapp
P.O. Box 438
Pine, CO 80470Absentee consignments must be received no than April 15, 2007, which allows time to update the on-line catalog and time for absentee bidders to place their bids. The Fairy Lamp Club accepts no responsibility for lost or damaged consignments.
Reserves
The consignor may assign a reserve for each lot offered. If a reserve amount is placed on the lot, it is the absolute minimum amount the consignor is willing to accept for the lot. Reserve amounts may not be changed during the auction. Reserves on lamp parts or damaged lamps, while accepted, are discouraged.
On lots that fail to reach their reserve, the auctioneer will offer the high bidder the lot at the reserve price. If the high bidder declines, the auction will be reopened at the reserve amount. If the lot fails to sell the second time, the lot will remain unsold. No selling of unsold lots will be permitted while the auction is in progress.
Un-cataloged lots may also have reserves attached.

Minimum bid increments are at the discretion of the auctioneer. To expedite the live auction, however, the auctioneer will use the following bid increments to the extent possible:
